YAP has a desire to show young people in our community what Kosciusko County has to offer and to provide opportunities for them with a three tier philosophy in mind: Leadership, Networking and Philanthropy. We want to be leaders in our workplace and community, to socialize and network with others, and to create a more healthy community through philanthropy.

Young Adult Professionals (YAP) started in 2007 with a desire to show young people coming into community what we have to offer in Kosciusko County and provide additional opportunities for them.
YAP’s works off a simple three tier philosophy:
To be Leaders in our community and workplace; To Socialize or Network with others in our community; and to be Philanthropic which creates a healthy community.
We have monthly gatherings to bring young people from around Kosciusko County to our events that include our Lunch Club and After Hours for networking and community service projects. We also have a few signature events each year.
Everyone gets together at a local restaurant. Great chance to casually sit down and network with your peers. Extremely relaxed, informal and easy going atmosphere. Our most popular monthly event by far! You will need to RSVP for this event and you are responsible for your own lunch.
After hours events typically take place at either a local restaurant or centered around an activity. These are informal events. We do ask that you RSVP either on the Chamber website or on our YAP Facebook page so we know how many people to expect.
This event happens once a year and we invite seasoned business professionals in the community to come and speak with our Young Adult Professionals. This year’s event will be in September, the official date and speakers are still TBD.
In 2022, we will be hosting the very first Kosciusko Young Adult Professionals golf outing. This outing will take place in the late spring / early summer and will consist of teams of four with two seasoned professionals and two YAP members. More details coming soon!
Throughout the year, we participate in a variety of service projects throughout the community. We have adopted a family for Christmas through CCS, delivered Mobile Meals for Kosciusko Senior Services, served meals at Fellowship Missions, collected donations for area non profit organizations, etc. Contact Lauren at lklusman@aotai-tech.com for more information on how to get involved.
